    Clean your furniture

The best thing you can do for yourself and your furniture is to clean them before the move. Cleaning them safely means that you will probably prolong their lifespan and keep them in the best condition. Using that microfiber cloth, you can gently clean your furniture from any dust or other things from it. Dust can be a major issue when you want to take care of the antique. Over time your antique furniture can get dusty, so you would want to do this before the move. Never use any chemicals when cleaning your antique furniture. This can only damage it. If you do this and wrap your furniture, then the chemicals can’t evaporate, which can only lead to damaged items.

It is not as with new furniture pieces. Antiques are expensive and you need to take special care. It is just one of the steps you need to take when preparing for the move. Trust us, you would be glad you know you moved your items in the best way possible.

Picking good packing supplies – start with crates

Although you have decided that the best course of action is to wrap your antique furniture, you would want to consider getting some good packing supplies as well. Mostly because it will be easier to carry them and protect them during the transport. The best way you can do this is to get wooden crates. If you are moving smaller furniture pieces then this is just what you need to do. if you place them in wooden crates, you can fill them up with some good packing hay or packing peanuts. Not only will this provide your items with perfect protection, but keep them from stumbling around in the crate as well.

If you are moving a bigger piece of furniture, then you have to think big. Sometimes big wooden crates are not the answer. This is where all those wrapping materials come in handy. using all those blankets, sheets, and dismantled cardboard boxes will pay off just now. You can use them as wrappers that will perfectly wrap around the furniture. Once you do this, you can use the packing tape or rope to keep it in place. This is one of the most important steps you need to take if you wish to have an easy move. Not only that but knowing that your furniture is safe means an easier post-moving process. And this is important if you wish to keep that stress under control.

First off, Maya in the office is wonderful! We had logistic issues on the original date we were scheduled due to our transport trailer not fitting in the apartment complex loading dock or parking lot. She was able to reschedule us for the next day for the movers to meet at the trailer storage yard to transport our belongings to the complex in their truck instead. She called to check up on us during the move and is a pleasure to work with. The movers; Andrew, Junior and Rolando were also a pleasure to work with. They showed up and got right to work...between unloading the transport into their truck, an hour drive to the complex and bringing up all our stuff to the 7th floor they were done in a little over 3 hours. They were careful with all of our furniture and made sure it was safe from damage during transport and unloading. Couldn't be happier with the service and I definitely recommend them for any type of move you are in need of! When the Army sends us to a new location Here & Now will be on our speed dial!
