    Outdoor activities

However, Virginia’s waters aren’t limited to the ocean. The Chesapeake Bay is fed by four significant rivers in the state. Potomac-Shenandoah River system, Rappahannock River, York River, and James River are in that order from north to south. It’s easy to see why this is worth mentioning with a simple Google search. It’s hard to imagine how beautiful the state would be without these four major rivers and countless smaller ones. In addition, Virginia is home to more than 217 miles of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As a result, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of both. But, if you want to find out more about Virginia, ask your Here & Now Movers while you are relocating.

Because of its natural splendor, there are a plethora of outdoor activities available. Everything from mountain biking to paddleboarding to canoeing to kayaking or surfing is available in this beautiful state. If working up a sweat isn’t your thing, you can always relax with a cup of tea and take in the scenery instead.

Virginia has a lot of military power

Is everyone seated? You’re going to be shocked by this figure. There are twenty-seven military bases in Virginia. In fact, the Commonwealth of Virginia is home to at least one installation for every branch of the armed forces. This sort of military influence is certain to have an impact on the culture. Over 60,000 veterans live in the city of Virginia Beach alone. In total, the city has a population of 500,000, so that’s a lot. There are around 60,000 military flights taking off and arriving at Naval Air Station Oceana every year. About 165 calories per day. So, whether you’re worried about a zombie apocalypse or a foreign invasion, Virginia is probably a good place to live. Everywhere you look, there are members of the armed forces. But to some people this may be unusual, so be prepared to adapt to Virginia lifestyle after your move.

Virginia has a lot of schools and is very hospitable

At Bellhop, we like to be upbeat, so we’ll start with the benefits of coming to Virginia. For starters, Virginia has some of the best schools in the country. A move to Virginia may be an excellent option for young professionals with families who want their children to have access to world-class higher education while paying an in-state tuition rate. In addition to her intelligence, Virginia is renowned for her politeness. The people of Virginia, in contrast to the more affluent metropolises of Boston and New York, greet you with a pleasant grin and open doors for you. Despite the fact that this cultural shift might be difficult to adapt to, most people who experience will adapt to Virginia lifestyle after your move. If you are moving with younger children, you should consider hiring movers Ashburn VA to help your move.

There is a lot of nasty traffic

With that said, life in Old Dominion isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. The region around Washington, D.C., may rapidly become congested due to its proximity to the nation’s capital. It’s possible that moving to Virginia might be difficult if you’re used to being able to get in your car and be everywhere in less than a five-minute drive time. So maybe consider hiring moving companies Falls Church VA so you don’t have to deal with nasty traffic. Virginia also has a low tolerance for profanity, but this is more of a humorous/interesting aspect than a real drawback. Cursing is indeed illegal in several parts of Virginia Beach. The only issue is that you must refrain from using foul language. When in doubt, seek for “no swearing signs” before letting loose with some swear words we won’t repeat.

Virginia is a wealthy state with a reasonable living expanse

It’s reasonable to conclude that the government is a major source of revenue for the state of Virginia, which has 27 military bases and is only a few miles from the Pentagon. In spite of the concerns of some, Virginia is benefiting greatly from this right now. Then there’s the fact that Virginia is home to twenty-one Fortune 500 corporations. We’re not too worried about Dollar Tree CarFax and Capital One, to name a couple. In addition, the low cost of living is one of Virginia’s biggest assets. No, it isn’t inexpensive if you compare it to the rest of the country. However, if you compare huge Virginia cities to East Coast ones, you’re really saving money. We hope this article helped you adapt to Virginia lifestyle after your move. Moving can be difficult, but doing research can definitely make you more prepared.

First off, Maya in the office is wonderful! We had logistic issues on the original date we were scheduled due to our transport trailer not fitting in the apartment complex loading dock or parking lot. She was able to reschedule us for the next day for the movers to meet at the trailer storage yard to transport our belongings to the complex in their truck instead. She called to check up on us during the move and is a pleasure to work with. The movers; Andrew, Junior and Rolando were also a pleasure to work with. They showed up and got right to work...between unloading the transport into their truck, an hour drive to the complex and bringing up all our stuff to the 7th floor they were done in a little over 3 hours. They were careful with all of our furniture and made sure it was safe from damage during transport and unloading. Couldn't be happier with the service and I definitely recommend them for any type of move you are in need of! When the Army sends us to a new location Here & Now will be on our speed dial!
